Libera
will be appearing as guest artists on the BBC 'Last
Choir Standing' show next weekend. The boys will be singing
as part of the Sunday results show due to be transmitted on
27th July at 7:35pm in the UK. More details can be found on

We
can confirm that Libera will be performing at St.
John's Church in Torquay, Devon on the 30th July at
7:30pm. Tickets cost £10 and are on sale now. You can
book them in advance by

April
22, 2008 - Libera sing for the Holy Father and 60,000 in Yankee
Stadium. |
|
|
|
 |
|
In
their largest and most prestigious appearance ever, the
boys took part in the Papal Mass event at the vast New
York stadium on Sunday 20th April. The Mass was the climax
of Pope Benedict XVI's first visit to the US. Tom Cully
and Josh Madine opened the proceedings as they walked
onto the stage to begin the Libera song, 'Far Away'.
The other boys joined in time for the chorus as their
voices rang out across one of the largest venues ever
to host such an event, which was also televised live
across the US and many
other countries.
Later the boys sang 'Sanctus' and took part in the finale
of the concert as the Holy Father arrived at the stadium
to begin the Mass.
The songs which Libera sang at the Yankees Stadium on
Sunday 20th April can both be found on the EMI Classics
album 'Angel Voices' - which is a recording of a Libera
concert which took place in Holland recently. It is also
available as a DVD.

April
21st, 2008 - Libera
have returned! |
|
|
|
Following
their longest tour ever, and their first in the USA, the boys
flew back to London Heathrow today - Monday 21st April.
In the space of three weeks and several thousand miles. the
singers of Libera performed several concerts and engagements
across the North East US, culminating in a show at the famous
Riverside Church in New York City. But they had one further
appearance to go......(See news item above) |

We
have updated the website with a new look to tie in with the
release of the brand new album, "New Dawn," which
is released in the UK today. We have added lots of exciting
new content including videos, music, photos and
lyrics....
In other news, we're pleased to announce that Libera will be
performing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London on the 11th
May. More details can be found on the events

called New Dawn and it will be on sale in the UK on March
3rd

(Outside UK release dates may vary)
Tracks include many new and original Libera pieces, as
well as familiar titles like ‘Orinoco Flow’, ‘Air’, ‘Ave
Maria’ and ‘Jerusalem’.
Also on the album is ‘Love & Mercy’ – the
Brian Wilson song which the boys performed recently at
the Kennedy Centre Honours in Washington.

ever to the US, and will perform in several cities in the North
East including:
Buffalo – 4th April
Hartford – 6th April
Albany – 7th April

2007 - LIBERA SING FOR THE US STARS.... |
|
|
|

|
Nine
of the Libera boys took centre stage last week in Washington
DC where they closed the famous US’ musical awards
celebration, the Kennedy Centre Honours. With President
Bush and the likes of Robert De Niro, Steve Martin and
Cameron Diaz in the audience the young singers, dressed
in their distinctive white robes, poignantly sang the
final song of the night, ‘Love
and Mercy’ in honour of the principle award winner,
Brian Wilson of the ‘Beach Boys’.
In a heart stopping moment, the harmonies of the ‘Libera’ singers
enthralled the star studded audience with a ‘Beach
Boys’ song
which harked back to Brian’s early musical life
as a choirboy. Fellow honouree Diana Ross was amongst
many who were moved to tears as the boys held the audience
spellbound.
After the performance the boys joined the glitzy celebration
dinner where they met Brian Wilson and other celebrities
including Steve Martin, Martin Scorsese and Vanessa Williams.
Their TV show filmed at a live concert in Holland is
currently being shown on TV stations across the US. The
Kennedy Honours Show will be transmitted on CBS on Boxing
Day.
