Tickets
for our Manila concert are nearly sold out, but there are a

29th, 2009 - Three time zones and two Easter Sundays....
24
Libera boys plus crew and musicians flew off to Japan at the
beginning of April to perform concerts in Sendai and Tokyo
in the first leg of their Easter tour. The group played to
packed houses at major venues like the Bunkamura Orchard Hall,
appeared on live national TV and after some charity appearances
finished the first lhalf of their tour by singing at St Ignatius
church in Tokyo on Easter Sunday morning.
One ten-hour flight later, they arrived in Los Angeles an hour
before they left – thanks to the International Date Line!
During the second half of the tour, the boys appeared on stage
at Disneyland (and took in a few rides on the way), and sang
to full houses in Palm Springs and the Crystal Cathedral where
they also performed during the famous internationally televised ‘Hour
of Power’. At the final evening concert at the cathedral,
in a grand climax to the tour, the triumphant last chords of ‘Libera’ rang
out as the fountains behind the glass cathedral sprung into
life coinciding, by chance, with the Disneyland 9 30pm firework
display which erupted precisely on cue!

5th, 2009 - Concert dates....
We
are delighted to announce further details of our Spring tour.
Following concerts in Japan, in Sendai and Tokyo, we will be
travelling on to Los Angeles where we will take part in events
at exciting venues in Southern California between 11th - 19th

4th, 2009 - Tokyo....
A
group of Libera boys have just returned from Tokyo where they
spent a week appearing on various TV and radio programmes
and attending the premier of the film ‘Nobody to watch
over me’ in which Libera sings the title music. Our
recent release, ‘Prayer’, is number one in the
Japanese classical chart.

4th, 2009 - BBC TV Programme....
The
special programme about Libera was transmitted on BBC-1 on
25th January.
We were honoured to have a whole Songs of Praise show devoted
to us. In addition to interviews with the boys, parents and
production team, there were performances of music in St Bartholomew’s
Church in London and at last summer’s concert in Torquay.
The boys were also seen at some recent prestigious events including
the Papal Mass in the Yankee Stadium and the Kennedy Honours
in Washington. Tom’s socks were also featured. Click on

4th, 2009 - Charts....
Our
recent album ‘ Eternal’ is riding high in the
UK charts at the moment, and is scoring well in both mainstream
and classical listings.
Last week at Amazon it was number one in the classical chart
and number 3 in the main pop charts – third only to two
Bruce Springsteen albums. Libera CDs also occupied the first
5 places of the classical chart.

17th, 2008 - New Japanese release...
We
are pleased to announce the release in Japan of our album "Prayer
- You
Were There." It will be available on CD from 10th December, and it will
also be available as a digital download. The track "You Were There," features
on the movie "Nobody to Watch Over Me," which will be released in Japan

21, 2008 - New releases from Libera!
We
are delighted to announce the International and UK release
of "Eternal - The Best of Libera." This
new double CD features many of our favourite tracks,
as well as some new ones, and it will be released on

We are also able to announce the UK and International
release of "Angel Voices in Concert" on 24th
November. This
DVD was recorded in the fabulous Pieterskerk in Lieden,
in the Netherlands. It has been a bestseller in

We

22, 2008 - Libera sing for the Holy Father and 60,000 in Yankee
Stadium.
In
their largest and most prestigious appearance ever, the
boys took part in the Papal Mass event at the vast New
York stadium on Sunday 20th April. The Mass was the climax
of Pope Benedict XVI's first visit to the US. Tom Cully
and Josh Madine opened the proceedings as they walked
onto the stage to begin the Libera song, 'Far Away'.
The other boys joined in time for the chorus as their
voices rang out across one of the largest venues ever
to host such an event, which was also televised live
across the US and many
other countries.
Later the boys sang 'Sanctus' and took part in the finale
of the concert as the Holy Father arrived at the stadium
to begin the Mass.
The songs which Libera sang at the Yankees Stadium on
Sunday 20th April can both be found on the EMI Classics
album 'Angel Voices' - which is a recording of a Libera
concert which took place in Holland recently. It is also
available as a DVD.

21st, 2008 - Libera
have returned!
Following
their longest tour ever, and their first in the USA, the boys
flew back to London Heathrow today - Monday 21st April.
In the space of three weeks and several thousand miles. the
singers of Libera performed several concerts and engagements
across the North East US, culminating in a show at the famous
Riverside Church in New York City. But they had one further
appearance to go......(See news item above)

2007 - LIBERA SING FOR THE US STARS....
Nine
of the Libera boys took centre stage last week in Washington
DC where they closed the famous US’ musical awards
celebration, the Kennedy Centre Honours. With President
Bush and the likes of Robert De Niro, Steve Martin and
Cameron Diaz in the audience the young singers, dressed
in their distinctive white robes, poignantly sang the
final song of the night, ‘Love
and Mercy’ in honour of the principle award winner,
Brian Wilson of the ‘Beach Boys’.
In a heart stopping moment, the harmonies of the ‘Libera’ singers
enthralled the star studded audience with a ‘Beach
Boys’ song
which harked back to Brian’s early musical life
as a choirboy. Fellow honouree Diana Ross was amongst
many who were moved to tears as the boys held the audience
spellbound.
After the performance the boys joined the glitzy celebration
dinner where they met Brian Wilson and other celebrities
including Steve Martin, Martin Scorsese and Vanessa Williams.
Their TV show filmed at a live concert in Holland is
currently being shown on TV stations across the US. The
Kennedy Honours Show will be transmitted on CBS on Boxing
Day.
